**About the Role**:
As the Principal Education Officer (EOSD), you will be a valued member of the branch leadership team. You will lead a diverse, highly-skilled and dynamic team to co-design, partner and deliver high-quality and targeted capability development for school leaders, aligned with professional standards and contemporary research.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Leadership of a multi-disciplinary team enabling successful delivery of targeted capability development aligned to the department's strategic vision, priorities and workforce needs.
- Providing expertise and strategic advice regarding high quality professional learning, capability development, and contemporary best-practice in educational leadership; including co-design, development and leadership of flagship programs.
- Operational leadership and management, including financial and human resource management, procurement, project planning and reporting, to implement and monitor capability key deliverables.
- Building strong relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including schools and regions, departmental teams, professional associations and sector representatives, other agencies and lead industry partners.
- Representing the branch and Education Futures Institute in various forums and contributing to strategic agendas and corporate requirements across the branch and department as required.

The Principal Education Officer reports to the Senior Principal Capability, Education Futures Institute, Central Office.
