**About the role**
The Strategic Accommodation Advisor (VPS5.2) will provide strategic advice to the SSP Executive and Accommodation Strategy and Planning Team, utilising experience, and judgement to assess and influence performance in the delivery of space management, office accommodation strategies, real estate and project outcomes.
**Key accountabilities**:
- Provide quality strategic advice regarding the delivery of office accommodation strategies, strategic asset management, property portfolio uplift and space management planning.
- Develop strategy documents and guidelines for implementing high quality commercial real estate and office project outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for innovative and sustainable service delivery or shared service initiatives that produce cost savings, operational efficiency and high value product and service for the Victorian government
- Exercise judgement in contributing to the identification and implementation of solutions to complex problems or complicated issues
- Identify, build and maintain constructive relationships with external service providers, client departments and agencies to achieve effective reporting, advice and service outcomes
**About you**
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
- In-depth knowledge of the commercial real estate sector and experience in providing high level advice on property, leasing and asset management issues, compliance, policy development, contract management and contract review incorporating risk management practices and methodologies
- Highly developed conceptual and analytic skills including the ability to undertake options analysis and capacity to propose and implement solutions and modifications to service processes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to influence stakeholders
- Ability to lead projects and implement changes through sound change management and communication
- Ability to draft accurate and succinct policy, regulations, templates, reports, briefings and submissions, develop recommendations, monitor and follow-up action items
- Customer focus and team-oriented approach with the ability to build effective working relationships and work collaboratively
