**Join Our Team as a Group Fitness Instructor**

We're on the lookout for dynamic Group Fitness Instructors to lead a range of group fitness sessions, with an emphasis on Barre, Les Mills Body Step and Body Pump, across our state-of-the-art facilities at the Ivanhoe Aquatic and Olympic Leisure Centre.

You’ll have flexibility to cover a variety of classes as required during weekday and weekend, including early morning and evening.

As a Group Fitness Instructor, you’ll energise and inspire participants of all fitness levels, helping them build strength, confidence, and community through engaging group workouts. Whether you’re leading a high-intensity class or guiding a gentle circuit, your role is about making movement enjoyable, safe, and effective.

You’ll conduct safe, appropriate and engaging group fitness classes within format guidelines.

You’ll:

- Plan programs and exercise routines in accordance with the abilities and fitness of the participants.
- Provide instruction in accordance with industry standards, program guidelines and accepted practice.
- Ensure that the participants in the group fitness programs act in a responsible and safe manner.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and professional conduct.
- You’ll be working with like-minded colleagues to serve Banyule Leisure members and the wider Banyule community, working at a lovely facility with friendly members.

**What you’ll bring/what we are looking for**:

- A current registration with Physical Activity Australia or AusActive.
- A current Level 2 First Aid Certificate.
- A current C.P.R Certificate.
- Certificate III in Fitness (desirable).
- Les Mills Body Step and Body Pump certification as well as Barre certification (highly desirable).
- A sound knowledge of Group Fitness exercises and instruction, health and fitness techniques, first aid, resuscitation and public safety requirements.
- Sound liaison skills are required in dealings with Leisure, Council staff and Management.
- Availability to cover a variety of classes on weekdays and weekends, including early morning and evening (highly desirable).

**Mandatory Qualifications**:

- CPR certificate
- Fitness Registration
- Current Level 2 First Aid

- Working with children check
