**About the opportunity**:
Are you passionate about supporting young people facing homelessness? At Uniting, we're not just offering a job—we're offering a chance to be part of something bigger. Our Doorways for Youth Program in Southwest Sydney (SWS) empowers young people aged 12-24 who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. As an Intake/Case Worker, you’ll be the first welcoming face they see, the guiding voice they need, and the advocate who helps them find a path forward.
- **Be the first point of contact**: Welcome clients to our Campbelltown Doorways Hub, offering warmth and understanding.
- **Conduct intake assessments**: Understand their needs and connect them with tailored support.
- **Build strong relationships**:Collaborate with housing providers, youth mental health services, and community partners to ensure holistic care.
- **Advocate for change**: Be a voice for young people facing injustice and help shape a future where no youth faces homelessness alone.
**Your Qualifications & Experience**
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work or a related field
- Understanding of issues impacting homeless youth and families
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to engage and work with clients from a wide range of diverse backgrounds
- Current NSW WWCC and NSW Driver’s license
