A core value of the Salvation Army is to support the basic needs of individuals and communities. The Driver Assistant provides efficient, safe, reliable and courteous collection and delivery of all goods and/or people involved in operations of The Salvation Army.

Key responsibilities:

- Transportation Service:_ Assist with providing quality transport service including loading and unloading goods to and from the vehicle. Promote effective teamwork, good relationships with customers, donors and fellow team members. Assist with keeping customers and donors informed and updated of agreed delivery/collection times. Adherence to Work Health and Safety policies in relation to the lifting and moving of furniture and goods. Wear a supplied uniform and identification at all times when undertaking Salvation Army duties. Refer people to appropriate Salvation Army services as required.

Qualifications and skills (desired/required):
- Good communication skills.- Required to fully complete TSA mission volunteer induction, training and registration process.- A reasonable level of fitness to meet the inherent requirements of the role.

As agreed with manager.
