**Ergon Energy Network and Energex supply electricity to residential and business customers Queensland-wide. We are part of Energy Queensland and have depots and offices located throughout Queensland**.

**The role**:
Control System Technician works in a specialist team that performs testing, installation, commissioning investigation and maintenance of South East SCADA systems in both a workshop test lab and high voltage substations.

Critical to your success in the role is your:

- You are trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence.
- Advanced Diploma of Electrical Engineering, or equivalent area of practice
- Demonstrated knowledge of the operation and maintenance of SCADA equipment.
- Hold a current C class open drivers' licence.
- Prepared to travel to undertake work when required.
- Required to participate in an on-call shift standby roster.
- Stable team player with demonstrated safety behaviours and confidence to develop good working relationships in an integrated team.

**Desirable to your success**:

- Previous experience working in the SCADA field is an advantage.
- IT skills including Computer Operating Systems (UNIX/QNX/LINUX) and industrial networks.
- Experience with SCADA programming languages, protocols, and configuration.
- SCADA Fault finding, troubleshooting & Commissioning knowledge/experience.
- Previous experience in Electricity Distribution utilities, Water Board Utilities, or Railways.
