Working on behalf of our client we are looking to recruit experienced Project Coordinator/Welding Inspectors.

**Due to recent contract growth our client is looking to bring on a new Welding Inspector/Project Coordinator for upcoming and current projects in the Defence and Commercial Marine Industry.**

This will be a blend of the two positions and you will be expected to do the following:
**Role Responsibilities**:

- Run projects across several marine vessels (Welding, Mechanical or Boiler Making)
- Supervise operations associated with supply, production control and quality assurance.
- Supervise the delivery and distribution of materials on site. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Accomplishes project allocating resources, scheduling, and coordinating staff and sub-contractors, evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions, problems, evaluating, and implementing change orders.
- Complete projects by planning, organising, and controlling projects, completing quality inspections, supervising subcontractors and staff.
- Control and supervise all welding activities in accordance with ISO 3834
- Quality-related responsibilities and tasks in accordance with ISO 3834
- Perform visual inspection for structural fabrication, assembly, welding, and non-destructive testing of welds
- Review products for re-work and provide advice & documentation required to complete the re-work

**Who we are looking for**:

- Australian Citizen or Permanent Residency
- **Minimum 3 years Ship Building / Ship Refit industry Welding/Boilermaker background is a must**:

- Australian Trade Qualified preferably **Engineering 111 or Fitter Machinist**:

- **Must have Marine Experience and have worked on Garden Island before**:

- The ability to interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
- Competence with FCAW, MMAW, MIG and TIG welding (Aluminium and Mild steel)
- Work Safety at Heights (RIIWHS204D) certification required
- Confined Space training

**You Must**:

- Be okay with working weekends when needed in order to meet deadlines
- Be avalible to start ASAP
- Be able to pass a security clearance
