**The role: what are we looking for?**

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to join and support our counselling team full time. We are looking for an experienced leader to manage and grow our counselling services and oversee the operation of the counselling team which comprises of counsellors, psychologists and mental health social workers.

You will be working with the dedicated and friendly counselling team who are spread across Sydney and the Central Coast. You will provide support with operational matters, guidance and crisis support to individual team members and partner with a range of internal stakeholders to implement and oversee a best practice, evidence-based Clinical Governance model across the team.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Registration as a Psychologist or Counsellor with appropriate registration body e.g. AHPRA or PACFA
- Agile leadership, strong interpersonal skills, team player
- Proven knowledge and experience of evidence-based practice and intervention.
- Knowledge of disability services
- Knowledge of ‘Keep Them Safe’ guidelines and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Proven ability to liaise effectively with participants, families and other stakeholders
- Minimum P2 NSW drivers licence
- COVID-19 vaccination including booster
- NDIS Workers Check

As part of this role, you will be required to travel within your region

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Experience working in a billable hour framework will be highly regarded
- Counselling experience in the disability and employment services sector
- Knowledge of disability employment services and employment programs including Workforce Australia, Disability Employment Services (DES) and National Panel of Assessors (NPA)
- Understanding and knowledge of NPA assessments including Supported Wage Assessments and Ongoing Support Assessments.
