**Full Job Description**

**The Role**:
As a Disability Support Worker with Ayul Community Care, you'll play a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centered care to our participants, enabling them to achieve their individual goals and live as independently as possible. Our support workers assist individuals with physical disabilities, mental health challenges, and intellectual disabilities in their homes and the community.

**Criteria and Skills**:

- **Female applicants are preferred by the participant**.
- comfortable with personal care (assistance with toileting, bath & feeding)
- Training will be provided.
- Ability to follow care routines and work collaboratively with family
- Excellent work ethic, strong oral and written communication skills (e.g., shift notes and form completion).
- Empathy and a person-centered approach in supporting participants, treating them as you would your own family members.
- Preferred but not necessary background in support work, early childhood, nursing, or experience supporting NDIS participants with epilepsy, intellectual, and mental health disabilities is advantageous.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Willingness to travel to **Thornleigh NSW**:

- WWCC
- NDIS Worker Screening check
- Preferred but not essential: some experience in disability, mental health, or early childhood.
- First Aid & CPR
- ABN
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, or Individual Support) are highly prioritised.

**Schedule**:

- Weekly
- Wednesday 8am - 5pm
- Saturday 12pm - 8pm
- Saturday Inactive overnight with potential active overnight

**Job Types**: Part-time, Subcontract, Casual, Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9 - 20 per week
