**About the role**:
Key Worker role is suitable for persons with the following qualifications - Early Childhood Educator, Speech Pathologist,
Occupational Therapist, Psychologist or other paediatric allied health professional.
The Key Worker is responsible for working with families with children between the ages of 0 and 7 years old, who have
developmental concerns, developmental delay or a diagnosed disability, to provide information and access to early
childhood early intervention supports.
Your focus in this position is to:
Create and develop a profile for the Child using a strengths-based approach. This includes undertaking observations,
evidence-based development assessments and collating information from the primary caregivers and other relevant
professionals.
Establish early intervention goals focused on increasing the child’s function and participation in routines and
activities in their natural everyday settings such as home, community and educational settings.
Work within the requirements of the NDIS and NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission
Provide high quality written reports, assessments, and programs.
Liaison with health and allied health professionals and representatives from other relevant major services including
NDIS, Early Childhood Intervention Service, schools and childcare settings.
Maintain a client-centred, flexible approach for the establishment of goals and treatment plans with children and
their families, and ongoing evaluation of such programs
Work closely with and provide advice, consultancy and support to parents, teachers and early childhood staff in the
implementation of early education programs.
Maintain accurate client records and ensure confidentiality of records and information in accordance with the
Privacy Act 1988
