**How will I help?**
The role sits in the Merchant Payment village reporting into the Merchant Risk and Accreditation - Service Owner. As the Merchant Risk Accreditation Manager your primary objective is to approve or decline requests for new or amendments to merchant facilities to maximise sales and revenue, while minimising financial loss from merchant related activities.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Detailed evaluation and risk decision of clients’ requests for new or amendments to their merchant facilities.
- Calculating and supporting the management of Prepayment risk on customer-by-customer basis
- Collaborating with the team in identifying and implementing new accreditation methodology and system-based rules.
- Managing the relationship of front-line stakeholders and support with complex deals.
- Ensuring customer requests maintain compliance with the banks, card schemes and audit obligations.
- Managing internal Merchant Risk policy statements and complete annual reviews of the Merchant Risk and Accreditation policies.

**What do I need?**
You will have strong collaboration and stakeholder management, self-organisation and time management skills and a good understanding of managing issues and incidents under a risk framework. A familiarity with common card fraud scenarios and scams associated with taking merchant payments as well as problem solving, customer service and basic maths skills.
Your ability to manage decisions to remain within defined risk appetite and minimise losses and to manage complaint, fraud, compliance, and regulatory outcomes coupled with maintaining the team’s workload within agree timeframes, will see you succeed in this role.
