Coburg North, Australia Mobility Access Modifications Full time

We are looking for an experienced and energetic Home Modifications Installer to join our dedicated team. As a Home Modifications Installer you will be responsible for minor home modification jobs and work closely with our office team, occupational therapists and clients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Jobs are located in the **South Eastern Suburbs**.
- Your day starts loading your materials from our warehouse located in the **Northern Suburbs** with our proactive team.
- You will then go on your installation runs which involve accommodating our elderly customers by installing standard and custom made items.
- Install a wide range of minor home modifications including grab rails, banister rails, hand showers, ramps, doorway widening in accordance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Work with our team to ensure accurate interpretation of plans and specifications for each job.
- Coordinate with occupational therapists, clients, and the office team to understand specific preferences, ensuring modifications are tailored to individual requirements.
- Utilize tools and equipment to cut, shape, and install materials.
- Conduct on-site measurements and assessments to ensure precise installation and adherence to industry standards.
- Prepare work area and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Troubleshoot and address any issues or challenges that arise during installations, providing effective solutions to ensure successful job completion.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or similar role, with a focus on residential minor home modifications.
- Proficient in techniques, tools, and equipment, including cutting, shaping, and installation of materials.
- Ability to read and interpret design plans accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring precise and high-quality installations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with occupational therapists, clients, and team members.
- Physical stamina and strength, as the role involves lifting and manoeuvring heavy materials and equipment.
- Trade qualification in cabinet making or a related field is preferred.
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
- The right to work in Australia.
- Police check to be completed if successful.
