In this role, you’ll work with a collective group of talented engineers, scientists and technicians in our **Bridges, Transport Infrastructure** group as a **Civil Cadet Technician**.

**Transport**:
Our Transport and Infrastructure team leverages a collaborative approach, the latest technology and a culture of innovation across the planning, design, and management phases to deliver sustainable connectivity, mobility, and resiliency to Australian communities.

**Our recent projects include**:

- Boundary Road Rail Level Crossing
- Bruce Highway, Uhlmann Road to Buchanan Road Upgrade
- Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade
- Queensland Train Manufacturing Program
- Road Asset Management Contract (RAMC)

***What you’ll do**:
Your path as a Cadet will be a blend of training and on the job learning which will enhance your professional, personal and relationship building skills, providing you with a wide range of development opportunities on your journey to become an emerging professional and beyond. You will:

- Prepare, manage and issue drawings for complex engineering projects under supervision
- Develop excellent drafting and checking skills with support from experienced technicians
- Liaise with other technicians, designers and project team engineers to ensure timely delivery of project drawings
- Learn to plan and manage own work to meet deadlines and budgets
- Actively participate in knowledge sharing and learning opportunities including a focus on emerging technologies and Digital Engineering

**About you**:

- A strong desire to further your civil engineering knowledge and can demonstrate your genuine e interest in our industry
- Completed, enrolled in or eligible to enrol in an Associate Degree of Civil Engineering (or equivalent
- Basic knowledge and proficiency with AutoCAD; basic technical drawing skills is**_ advantageous_**:

- Sound knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office software
- Team orientated individual
- Excellent communication skills written and spoken
