**About the role
The Nurse Manager, Nursing Service Support (NSS) Prison and Youth Detention Health Service (PYDHS) is an expert clinical practice registered nurse who provides evidence based and contemporary operational and nursing leadership within PYDHS.
PYDHS has varied operating hours at each centre. PYDHS is a seven-day service with either 24/7 roster or two-shift roster (AM and PM), with centres varying between 8 hour, 9.5 hour, and 12 hour rotating shifts.
The Nurse Manager - NSS PYDHS role works across a 7-day roster undertaking 9.5 hour shifts between the hours of 04:00-22:30.

About you
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships, open communication and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others to a high standard.
Demonstrated management experience and capability with an ability and commitment to practice collaboratively within the and the broader multidisciplinary health care team to deliver high quality care.
Demonstrated data analysis; outcome evaluation; service improvement and development skills.
Demonstrated management knowledge and skills specifically human resource management and advanced financial literacy within the healthcare environment.
Mandatory Requirements:
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
