Reporting to the Director of Legal, the Governance, Risk and Compliance Manager (GRC) must ensure all legislative and regulatory compliance requirements are met in the Australian business. Understanding the unique complexities and risks across Corporate, Operations, Engineering, Trading and Finance business units is imperative before reviewing all compliance process, systems and governance activities. The GRC is currently a stand alone role who utilizes external consultants as required.

Critically analysing all information, will assist you to assess key infrastructure and identify Operational, Personnel, IT and Cyber risks. You will develop plans to manage and mitigate the risks and ensure effective controls are implemented. Working closely with legal and other internal departments use your business consulting mindset to make recommendations on enterprise-wide risk management strategies, ERM systems, tools and reporting that all meet best practice standards. You will assist in the development of a compliance culture that raises the awareness of risk, governance and compliance obligations and delivers relevant, appropriate training when required.

An exceptional communicator and proactive listener who builds strong professional relationships and trust at all levels will succeed here. A technical expert with a commercially pragmatic mindset and practical, hands-on approach to developing solutions will thrive in this environment. Prior energy experience will be favourably viewed, as will success in devising strategies, systems and controls in a business with a regulatory and legislative complexities is essential.
