The Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute (the **Institute**) is dedicated to finding cures for cardiovascular disease and is one of the most respected heart research facilities in the world. Renowned for the quality of its breakthroughs, the Institute was established in 1994 and has grown to a team of over 200 researchers from around the globe, working across five divisions. A global centre-of-excellence, it integrates Cardiac Physiology and Transplantation, Developmental and Stem Cell Biology, Molecular Cardiology and Biophysics, Structural and Computational Biology, as well as Vascular Biology. At the Institute, we translate our discoveries into new diagnostics, prevention, and treatment of cardiovascular disease - reducing the incidence, severity and impact of heart disease.

**Your next career opportunity**:
As Learning and Development Advisor you will be responsible for end-to-end learning and development services for all workplace participants, including but not limited to, employees, students, visiting scientists and contractors. The position is part time for 3 days per week.

**What we will trust you with***:

- Provide assistance and guidance to Faculty and Management, using technical and professional skills/knowledge, on a range of Learning and Development policies, programs and practices.
- Support the coordination of learning and development across the Institute.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the St Vincent's Precinct to facilitate precinct-wide training.
- Organise and deliver induction sessions for new starters.
- Develop a training yearly training calendar for the Institute.
- Contribute to the success of being an Employer of Choice.
- Develop and manage the student internships, work placements learning plans in consultation with Faculty and managers.
- Manage the administration relating to all training, compliance and career pathways
- Support the Institute's education and mentoring programs.

**Does this sound like you?**:

- Demonstrated experience and results in learning and development.
- Significant experience in organising training courses.
- Experience using and managing a learning management system (LMS). Lanteria or similar would be advantageous.
- Proven experience in generating periodic reports.
- Ability to review competency frameworks and recommend relevant learning and development programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in relationship management and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated good time management skills.
- Strong customer service ethic and approach.

Tertiary qualifications in Organisational Development, Human Resources or similar and experience in facilitating training or presentations would be advantageous.
