**The Role**

Reporting into the Head of Information Security, the Information Security Consultant is a newly-created, 18-month fixed term contract opportunity.

You will be responsible for providing a wide range of security advisory services to our business and technology stakeholders to assist them in developing solutions that addresses any current and emerging information security and compliance requirements.

As a critical resource aligned to our APRA CPS 230 Compliance program, you will also engage with and educate business unit leaders, platforms owners and technical teams in understanding their information security responsibilities and accountabilities with respect to their engagement with third-party’s to establish best practices around security engagement throughout the lifecycle of their engagement.

**About you**

You may come from a broad background in information security, technology, risk or procurement consulting and advisory. Ideally this includes a minimum of 2 to 3+ years of experience in information security, particularly on project consulting, within the financial services and/or insurance sector.

Your technical background and foundation in information and cyber security controls and technology, coupled with a strong sense of business acumen will enable you to operate in a pragmatic yet efficient manner in a highly regulated environment.

Your ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders will enable you to influence and make recommendations to improve the overall security posture of their projects and initiatives.

Lastly, you possess the aptitude and attitude to pick up new concepts and the willingness to be developed further in this area.
