Our client is an ASX 100 iconic market leader, and today they are seeking to appoint talented ‘**Manager, **Network** Performance**’** into their shared services Finance & Reporting team. **Recognised as a waste, collections and resource recovery market leader in growth, this dynamic organisation is eager to appoint this newly defined role to further support the business in continuing to make well informed risk mitigated investment decisions.
There are actually four senior analytical roles - all new and critically important to the organisations delivery of its 2030 blueprint. Based in Vic, NSW, SA and WA, each role will be reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager of that state (who is really a Business Unit CFO for a multisite operation, each with a turnover of approx. $500m +/-).
As the Manager, Network Performance, you will be responsible for the delivery of route optimisation into that states business unit. The role will work closely with the branches, supported by the delivery team to identify opportunities to optimise their logistics network, driving efficiency and improving the customer experience. The Manager - Network Performance will drive the implementation of these opportunities and be responsible for the tracking of benefits associated with them
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Statistical analysis to identify trends and patterns, and perform scenario analysis
- Leveraging of the Power BI reporting toolkit as part of generating superior value and sustainable solutions for both their customers and the community
- Collaborate with and influence key stakeholders to embed the identified route optimisation opportunities into the businesses processes, ensuring the benefits are understood, accepted and sustainable.
- Coach, train and upskill key stakeholders on how to analyse data and identify opportunities in their routing data sets
- Work closely with the Delivery Team to deliver a Network Performance program to improve density and reduce the cost to serve across their logistics network
- Define and benchmark key route efficiency metrics across SBUs to identify improvement opportunities.
- Work with the Delivery team and the SBU to deliver and integrate new infrastructure assets into your regions (state) logistics network (trucks)
- Identify and develop route plans to support the business and overall customer demands on collections services
- Track and monitor efficiency benefits across the Route Optimisation Program
- Work with stakeholders to help reduce labour and R&M costs through workforce planning by optimising scheduling and density of a route through managing key route metrics.
- Regular reporting to provide updates on benefits achieved and program status
**So what you will bring to this role**:
- Experience in lean logistics management
- Proven analytical and reporting strengths, underpinned by previous logistics scheduling, rostering experience
- Proven experience working with multiple levels of stakeholder groups, ideally from executive through to front line
- Preferred logistics and operations experience
- Experience in analysing and drawing conclusions from complex data sets
- Change management
- Project management methodologies and frameworks
- Solid understanding of data analytics and the use of statistical analysis to identify trends and patterns, and perform scenario analysis
- Tertiary education in Business analytics, Logistics or similar is advantageous
