**The Role**

This role will see you delivering high quality tenancy and property management for Community Housing Limited. You will be responsible for a portfolio of properties located across a specific region including carrying out property inspections, allocations of vacant properties, rental collection, and debt recovery, conducting condition reports, coordinating lease and rent reviews, and carrying out exit procedures.

As a Housing Officer, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders including government departments, the Asset Management Unit, clients, and relevant support agencies building strong relationships and working as part of our dynamic and supportive team to provide industry-leading property management services. There may be times where you will be required to represent Community Housing Limited at hearings.

You will be responsible for performing administrative tasks including reporting, addressing complaints, adhering to compliance requirements, and maintaining accurate property and tenancy data in all required systems.

You will be trusted to work autonomously and will be supported by a Team of Trust Accounting, Maintenance, your colleagues, and your manager. Our team are proud of the positive workplace culture that we have created, and we are excited to welcome a new Housing Officer to our organisation.

**About You**

To be successful for this role, you will have a genuine passion for wanting to support vulnerable people in our community.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Previous experience in property management and knowledge of rental tenancy legislation for your relevant state.
- Relevant skills and experience in working sensitively with a diverse customer group with complex needs, including those who are in housing crisis.
- Confidence in liaising with various stakeholders including vulnerable people.
- Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a caring and empathetic nature.
- Previous experience working on Property Management Programs and Microsoft Office efficiency.
- A current driver’s licence.

**Desirable**:

- Real estate Certificate of Registration for your relevant state - or working toward Real Estate Certificate would be highly regarded.
- Knowledge or experience managing NRAS.
- Knowledge of SDA.
- Previous experience working in the social/community housing industry.

Please note that satisfactory police check is required for all staff and those with client related responsibilities are required to provide a NDIS and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
