About the Role

This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact by leading and supporting key initiatives, including the Education Justice and Youth Engagement programs across the region. The successful applicant will oversee a multidisciplinary team comprising Court Liaison Officers, Youth Transition Officers, the Regional Youth Support Coordinator, and Transition Pathways Officers.

Key responsibilities include:
Providing strategic and operational leadership across youth engagement initiatives
Supporting team members to deliver effective, student-centred services
Building and maintaining strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
Representing the department on interagency panels and collaborative forums
Ensuring alignment with relevant legislation, departmental policies, and procedures

About You

We are seeking an experienced and values-driven manager with:
A passion for supporting vulnerable young people through education
Strong leadership and team development capabilities
Demonstrated ability to build collaborative, cross-agency relationships
A sound understanding of the youth justice system and the education sector's role within it
