We’re looking for talented and passionate** Experience Design Manager** to join our Experience Design practice and partner within one of our product domains to deliver on our strategic ambition.
This is an opportunity to join one of Melbourne’s largest design practices and be part of a company that is centred around a strategic ambition of improving our customer and banker experience, led by our Chief Design Officer.
As an **Experience Designer Manager** your mission is to lead in the designing of amazing experiences improving the way our customers and bankers interact and engage with our brand, product and services that ultimately improve our customers financial wellbeing and makes banking easy.
**About you**
As a Design Leader, you consider yourself confident in the planning, communicating value and execution of research to understand user needs and opportunities across all stages of the design process (ideation to delivery). This means you are proficient in determining the most suitable methods and tools to collect, process and analyse both qualitative and quantitative research data, ensuring alignment to best practice.
You’re the custodian of the experiences you and your team create, ensuring that the design is of a high quality and consistent throughout the delivery lifecycle. You’ll also be part of creating design frameworks, methodologies, and standards to drive consistent and engaging user experiences.
You are a very strong communicator, passionate about creating amazing user experiences and leading teams in the process of doing so. You enjoy helping others develop their skills, understand opportunities, encourage innovation, and foster an energetic, vibrant team culture.
You will have a portfolio showing off your incredible skills - which you can confidently talk to in terms of business and user objectives and delivered value.
**What you’ll be doing**
- Define and create best in class customer experiences for products, services and features across a range of initiatives, ensuring the customer-facing experience is supported by banking operations
- Influence the business around moving towards solutions that meet both customer and business outcomes. Understand and align key objectives, metrics and measures of success, and report on eventual outcomes
- Facilitation of workshops and collaborative design sessions to understand user needs and business objectives
- Prepares and communicates insights, learnings, and solutions with persuasive storytelling for stakeholders
- Design the experience using insights from qualitative and quantitative research by creating artefacts that showcase the desired experience in the form of low to high fidelity concepts for example task flows, service blueprints, wireframes
- Contributes to the team and our culture, by breaking down barriers, ensuring clear and constructive communication within the team, celebrating our successes and learning from our mistakes.
***What you’ll bring**
To succeed in this role, you must be able to work in a fast-paced, at times ambiguous and complex environment and have:
- Extensive years of experience in a similar role supporting Strategic Design, Service Design or UX and have a true passion for improving the digital and non-digital experiences of our customers and bankers
- Have a proven track record in partnering in the delivery of business roadmaps within a program of work.
- Have demonstrated experience in leading and empowering designers to deliver on outcomes.
- Ability to collaborate closely with a cross functional team of Product Owners, Design Lead, Technical Analysts, UI designers, Engineers, and other experts.
- Worked within Agile programs of work and have led team through rituals such as cycle planning, sprint planning.
- A solid grasp of human-centred design (HCD), planning and conducting user research, concept development, user validation and testing. Proven track record in leveraging design best practice to deliver solutions for enterprise business systems and projects of large scope and complexity.
- Proven experience building rapport and maintaining stakeholder relationships, communicating confidently, and presenting messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner to all stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills to provide user feedback, interaction design and design concept/solutions to teams and stakeholders.
