About the role

We are seeking a full-time Career Paralegal to join our dynamic Brisbane Banking & Finance practice, where you'll be the go-to support for our respected team of lawyers led by partner Aaron Bourke. You will be assisting them in the daily management of matters (including drafting of documents) and client operations.

King & Wood Mallesons Banking & Finance team works across multiple industries including energy and resources, mining services, aviation, agriculture, retail, health, construction, aged care, education, and manufacturing. The workload is varied, and the environment is dynamic and friendly.

This role has a focus on matter management and client interaction, involving consistent engagement with our valued clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Paralegal looking to expand their responsibilities and assume a greater role in client affairs. Alternatively, it may be an attractive opportunity for a Legal Secretary with a solid background in administration in a front-end transactional team.

About you
- Experience drafting legal documents for Banking & Finance or Property teams, as well as handling general correspondence
- Excellent attention to detail, document management and collation skills
- Advanced knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and document management systems similar to iManage
- Ideally, prior experience using PEXA or similar settlements platforms and Infotrack or similar search platforms
- Understanding of billing procedures within a legal setting
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, choosing an appropriate style for their audience
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
