As a Technical Product Owner your role works closely with a range of business stakeholders to provide a single point of accountability across plan, build and run for a portfolio of technology products and underlying technology sub-systems. With this accountability your role is to guide and mentor cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure that key business needs are met in terms of technology product performance and development to support business outcomes.

You are responsible for the composition of the technology product roadmap (including critical payments-related compliance activities) into a technical backlog that includes ensuring that solutions align with the overarching technology strategy. You will facilitate planning and prioritisation of roadmaps with business stakeholders and define delivery sequence to meet overall objectives and timelines. You will also lead the operation of your product portfolio, ensuring that solutions are safe, scalable and maintainable to provide a platform that enables continuous improvement and delivery of value.

The Technical Product Owner will also provide insights to inform economic decision-making by facilitating delivery estimation and leading vendor relationships to ensure the right technology outcomes are also commercially optimised.

You will coordinate closely with the Head of Technology and Domain Operations Lead, potentially managing one or more squads/project teams and Product Analysts, and you will be expected to work across teams to respond to and solve any issues or incidents that occur in your portfolio.

You’ll have:
- Extensive experience in an Agile environment (or equivalent work experience) and 5+ years in a technology support and/or delivery related role- Deep experience working with technology vendors- Experience in coaching and modelling Agile mind-set and ways of working- Proficient in multiple Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, design thinking, HCD, and other frameworks-
- Expert stakeholder management and commercial acumen to link both business and technical functions- Experience designing and facilitating fit for purpose workshops that deliver defined outcomes- Solid experience in operational service management- Experience with Payments technologies and products would be beneficial.
