**DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKERS - EPPING, WAITARA, NORTH RYDE, THORNLEIGH**

Pegasus Care is looking Disability Support staff who have a range of skills and who are willing to work in a variety of settings to utilise and build on these specific skill base.

We are looking for Casual Disability Support Staff to provide support to children and adults with Intellectual Disabilities/Physical Disabilities and /or a Dual Diagnosis across a variety of settings.

We are looking for committed people who are experienced in providing residential support / in-home support, as well as support to access the wider community. You should also be willing to assist with skill development and to provide assistance to ensure each client meets his/her goals within a Person Centred framework.

To be successful, you will need well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a Team as well as family members, you will need good communication (both written and verbal) skills and the ability to follow the routines and protocols in the setting in which you work.

**Essential Criteria which staff MUST have to be considered** for the position are:

- Minimum IV in Disability Studies, Mental Health (or similar)
- NDIS Worker Clearance Certificate - willing to obtain prior to finalisation of employment.
- Completed NDIS Worker Induction Module - Quality, Safety & You
- Infection Control Training - COVID-19 Certificate
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check number
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid Certificate
- NSW Drivers Licence, a Reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance
- Provide evidence of vehicle registration
- Evidence of 3 doses covid-19 vaccination
- Minimum six months experience in Residential Support gained in Australia
- 100 points of ID (certified)
- The right to work in Australia

**Other skills which are highly regarded and applicants must have some of these to be considered**:

- Behaviour support/Challenging Behaviour
- Dual Diagnosis
- High needs such as personal care, manual handling, hoisting, assistance with feeding
- Management of Epilepsy
- Midozalam Training Certificate
- PEG experience and/or PEG Training Certificate
- Provision of Community Access
- Implementation of Individual Goals, Plans, Routines

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $38.08 per hour
