**The Role**
This major Government agency are currently looking to hire a talented and experienced Head of Infrastructure with a focus on people leadership to support and maintain business and technical services for infrastructure at an operational level.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage Technology Operations and Services teams (approx. 12 indirect reports)
- Oversee management of the IT operational environment for all our client’s systems (Windows, Unix, DBA, Service Desk, Cloud and Networks)
- Oversee the development and maintenance of complex, medium to large scale and business critical IT operational environments
- Lead, oversight and direct complex and/or large-scale IT infrastructure projects
- Manage the implementation of changes to IT infrastructure minimising service interruption
- Work as part of the IT Senior Management group to drive improvement and provide strong leadership

**Key Skills & Experience Required**
- Significant experience as an Operations/Infrastructure Manager
- Broad experience managing Infrastructure Teams encompassing Windows, Unix, DBA, Service Desk, Cloud and Networks
- A strong leader who can uplift the team and lead from the front
- Demonstrated experience implementing significant changes to complex IT infrastructure
- Demonstrated experience with IT contract management and procurement
- Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills to identify, address and advise on information technology matters and risks
- High level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to consult and negotiate effectively with the team, senior stakeholders and customers
