Program Operations Manager

The Thales Australia AWS business as part of Thales Australia offers ship repair, maintenance and asset management / in-service support capabilities for commercial and naval ships in Australia. The business also offers the provision of docking, reticulated services and facility maintenance within Garden Island.

In this exciting, meaningful, project-driven environment with a billion-dollar view, we are seeking a **Program Operations Manager** to join our team.

As Program Operations Manager you will be responsible and accountable for establishing new capability and will lead by example to ensure achievement of mutual outcomes within a customer-centric environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing strategic direction and alignment of team operations with business and Enterprise objectives.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and high performance.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts across all functions, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and costs savings.
- Oversee and manage the execution of complex bids and projects, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines and budgets
- Build and foster strategic relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external to ensure effective communication and successful collaboration
- Building and enriching customer experience by ensuring services delivered exceed where possible, customer expectations

**Requirements**:

- A passion for leading high-impact initiatives and a proven track record in senior leadership roles, with a focus on operations and project management.
- Excellent project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve exceptional results
- Experience working with Target Cost Incentive Model (TCIM) and performance framework.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business/commercial, engineering, project management or related field is desirable
- Experience with Australian Standard for Defence Contracting (ASDEFCON) suite of tendering and contracting. Experience with ASDEFCON (Support) desirable.
- Experience with relational / collaborative contracting models with understanding of ISO44001 desirable
- Eligible for a Defence Security Clearance

**Good to Know**

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.

Prior to offer you’ll complete a pre-employment police and medical.
