**About the role**

This Position enjoys a level of autonomy and accountability to partner with various teams and ensure we maintain and continuously improve our technology and cyber security risk landscape. Collaborating internally and with our other global divisions, you will lead the development, evaluation and implementation of Technology and cyber security related governance, risk and compliance activities to mitigate key risks. You will lead a team of experienced specialists to manage technology risk, maintain our ISMS, oversee our external security obligations, regularly assess key control health and continually educate our workforce on cyber security.

We don’t expect you to be an expert in all these areas - we want you to rely on your experienced team so we need you to be a passionate leader that will focus on their development and growth. You will contribute as an active member of the Cybersecurity Leadership team helping steer the direction of Technology and Cyber Security Risk Management across Sportsbet.

Responsibilities include:

- Lead the development, evaluation and implementation of Technology (including cyber security) related governance, risk and compliance activities to mitigate key risks.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to support the performance of internal and external audits and assessments, and oversee the delivery of a Controls Assurance program to assess the health of key technology and cyber security controls.
- Partner with our 2nd Line Risk and Compliance team to establish and promote good practices for managing Technology risks, providing support, guidance advice and information where required.
- Lead team to maintain compliance against external regulatory requirements, PCI-DSS and ensure an ISMS including policies and standards align to good practice frameworks such as ISO27001.
- Oversee the delivery the Sportsbet Cyber Security Awareness and Education strategy. Ensure regular monitoring of the success of the program to enable continuous uplift and prioritise focus areas.
- Actively focus on leadership of the function and development of each team member (currently 4 FTE) which includes technical compliance SMEs and broader governance roles.

**About You**
- 8+ years of experience in Technology Risk Management, Cybersecurity, or Technology related internal/external audit, ideally gained within a large commercial organization or Big Four Practice.
- Experience in leading, influencing and motivating a small team of Governance Risk and Compliance specialists.
- Strong understanding of IT General Controls and good practices for IT risk assessment and control assurance programs.
- Understanding of Technology and cyber security related regulatory requirements, PCI-DSS and good practice frameworks such as ISO27001, ISO31000, ASD Essential 8, etc.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience delivering programs to meet relevant statutory and enterprise risk management outcomes
- Strong academic background, ideally with university degree and post-graduate study (e.g. CA, CPA, CISA, CISM, CISSP).
