Motor Vehicle Technician

Cammeray Auto Service is looking for an additional team member.

We are seeking a motivated, experienced and qualified Mechanic to join our well respected team. You can bring your know-how and expertise in diagnostics to make the workflow in the workshop flowing more efficiently and smoothly.

To be successful in this permanent full-time position, you will need to have the following essential skills and knowledge:

- Good diagnostic skills in all makes and models particularly European cars
- Carry out all types of mechanical repairs
- Supervise and delegate tasks to workers under supervision including trainees
- Assist with quality checks
- Maintain good workflow between jobs
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain safe work place
- Regularly report progress on each job and communicate in a timely manner the delays or concerns with the supervisor
- Be up-to-date with all related scanning software
- Identify client’s needs and explain/demonstrate services needed to their cars, which may involve technical descriptions of products and the way they may be used
- Deliver high quality service and professional approach to work

As a member of our professional team, you will possess the following attributes & experience:

- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3). Or 3 years of relevant experience if no relevant qualifications acquired.
- It is essential to be a trade qualified motor mechanic with proven track record of minimum of 2 years previous experience in working as a motor mechanic and undertaking and interpreting OBD systems and various other automotive scanning.
- Reliable, punctual, outstanding verbal communications skill, excellent work ethic and initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Able to work unsupervised within the team.

**Salary**: From $80,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Crows Nest, NSW 2065: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
