**About the Role**:
Our Client's Wingfield/Gepps Cross SA branch is actively seeking a Qualified service technician/Diesel Mechanic to join their team in a hybrid workshop/field-based role.

Diesel Mechanic / Field Service Technicians are responsible for performing basic & complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and dealer owned equipment.
Your position will see you travel out to the customers on location and support them with any issues or difficulties they may be having with their plant or machinery along with working in the workshop to suport the internal team with new orders and plant repairs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment ensuring safety, quality and housekeeping rules and expectations are always achieved.
- Document relevant machine information and repairs completed on work orders, including parts, time and fluids used in our internal management system in line with business processes.
- Proactively study and stay current on industry and product information providing advice and guidance to customers and ensuring strong capability to rectify any issue.
- Travel at short notice and adapt to ad hoc travel itineraries.

**Skills and experience for the role**:

- Relevant Trade Certificate - Heavy Diesel Fitter/Mobile Plant Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic or Equivalent.
- Dual trade or Air-Conditioning and/or Auto Electrical experience, qualifications and diagnostic skills will be highly regarded.
- Experience in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, including engine overhauls and major repairs, including electrical, hydraulic, and diagnostic skills.
- Comfortable with working remotely, travelling long hours, and responding to work at short notice.
- A current and valid driver's licence
- Strong customer service focus and dedicated work ethic.
- A mature attitude and logical and methodical approach to your work which will enable you to work through problems in both a workshop and field environment.

Possession of the following tickets and/or license will be highly regarded includingHigh Risk Work Licences.
- Dogger
- Rigger
- Forklift Licence.
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP).
- Crane Ticket(s).
- Machine Tickets/Licences.
