**The Opportunity**:
The Project Controls team contribute to the effective control of project costs and schedules for a wide range of capital works and maintenance programs across the organisation.
The purpose of the role is to support Project Managers to effectively deliver projects through the provision of accurate and timely cost and schedule information, allowing for decision making based on current and projected project performance. Key activities include:
- Project cost management functions including budget tracking, variance analysis, change management, accruals, purchase order management and forecasting (using SAP)
- Managing the maintenance and reporting of Earned Value
- Develop and maintain fully resourced, logically linked, critical path schedules (using MS Project) with responsibility for baseline establishment and ongoing review
- Maintaining project schedules, assisting with progress and performance reporting and identifying causes and assessments of schedule variance
- Articulate information to key stakeholders in a clear and effective manner
- Participate and provide assistance to key stakeholders in project stage gate reviews
- Undertake timely and accurate delivery of project reporting
**About You**:
- Well-developed analytical, investigation and problem-solving skills developed through experience in a project environment
- Ability to negotiate with and influence decision makers, coupled with the ability to communicate and articulate information in a clear and effective manner
- Team player with high levels of energy and self-motivation, decisiveness, initiative and attention to detail
- Sound ability in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle (or similar), coupled with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project (or similar) would be highly advantageous
- Formal qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Commerce, Accounting or other relevant disciplines will also be highly regarded
