**About the opportunity**

We are looking for a continuous improvement and process excellence specialist who is a leader in their field to help Australia Post establish a shared service which will provide an inventory of processes under each business unit, improve business process maturity and identify, streamline and store business processes.

**What you’ll deliver with us**

In this role you will be empowered to establish the “Process at Post” Centre of Excellence, and aligning business process excellence teams across our enterprise. As the head of you will oversee day to day operations and champion the group as they optimise, advise, govern and report on business processes.

You will develop a Centre of Excellence charter and agree KPIs with each business unit across Australia Post. You will help drive adherence to standards including process maps, risk & control metrics and links to corporate strategy. You will also be involved in group wide reporting on process improvement opportunities and progress.

**What your role will look like day to day**
- You will develop a clear strategy and tactics to increase the process excellence maturity across Australia Post Group.
- Working cross functionally, you will gain enterprise alignment on the process excellence methodologies, tools and processes.
- You’ll develop a financial model to support process improvement and analyse return on investment.
- You will also be instrumental in ensuring that we have the correct initiatives in place to lift process capability.

You will also work in partnership with business unit process excellence teams from Network Operations, retail, Finance, P&C, Sales, Product and IT to achieve:

- The creation of a baseline of the number of processes across the group and to create a repository in which to store the process documents.
- Prioritisation of process improvement initiatives, based on organisational value.
- Effective reporting to the leadership team on a quarterly basis.

Your immediate goals will be to:

- Agree governance rhythms & reporting approaches.
- Coordinate reporting capability-based solutions.
- Implement business process management solutions.
- Communicate & train for the new operating model.

**You will be a key champion for change and you will advocate an agenda for process excellence across the enterprise.**

**About you**

You will be a driven and committed process improvement professional who is at the top of their game and keen to grasp a challenge to help drive one of the largest corporate transformations in recent Australian business history.

You will be able to comfortably build networks internally within a large and complex environment that spans different industries and different specialisms within. You will have the experience, or ability, to build the Process at Post Centre of Excellence from the foundations.

You will have the appetite for, and ability to manage through periods of change, be comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity and an ability to drive results through simplification and standardisation.

**You’ll also need**
- An ability to present credibly at board level and facility level.
- Experience developing a shared service of process excellence.
- Extensive leadership experience, within a large and complex organisation.
- A high level of senior management engagement experience.
- Extensive experience working within process excellence, program management or lean practices in large and complex organisations.
