Site Based Contract Specialist / FIFO Quantity Surveyor - Short Roster

A site-based Contract Specialist / Quantity Surveyor is required for a high-value, high-profile mining construction project.

Client-side role - family friendly roster (5 days on 2 days off / 4 days on 3 days off)

An exciting role of a Contract Specialist (Ideally from a Quantity Surveying background) on a FIFO basis, your duties will include:

- Preparing and submission of progress claims and ensuring their timely payment.
- Agreeing Bill of Quantities rates and final accounts
- Complete site surveillance reports and diaries and review contractor's progress reports
- Subcontract management including receipt and processing of subcontract interim payment claims & final accounts.
- Processing claims for variations and additional entitlement.
- Prepare, submit & agree contractual claims.
- Manage and participate where necessary in the preparation, submission & agreement of variations.
- Provide advice to the Project Management team and Perth-based commercial team on contractual issues.
- Preparing, reviewing, and submitting reports to prescribed timescales
- Constant reviewing of change management.

To be successful you will need:

- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a FIFO site-based team environment.
- Experience in performing Quantity Surveyor duties in a site-based role, including chairing meetings, assessing progress achieved vs cost measurement and payment certificates and accruals calculations.
- The ability to encourage and support junior members of the Commercial Team.
