We are looking for a
**Data Migration Analyst** to join the Transitions team on an initial 18 month fixed term contract (with a high potential to turn permanent). The Transitions department is responsible for the process of extracting and transferring data from legacy systems to LEAP for clients globally. We develop software and processes to assist with the technical aspects of converting data to be used by our teams globally.
You will use the data migration tools available as well as your technical expertise to ensure data moving from a legacy system is properly mapped, tested and the processes checked prior to the release for our migration staff globally.

**What will you be working on as the Data Migration Analyst?**
- Ensure processes for data collection from clients are complete and easily understood by migration staff.
- Run and test migration tools for the applicable legacy systems to migrate client data to LEAP
- Reconcile migrated test data to confirm programming is complete.
- Test, maintain and improve in-house transition tools by liaising with developers
- Ensure time, client/trust and office balances are correct and match to the legacy data cut-off
- Liaise with internal migration staff to ensure they are kept up to date with data migration processes
- Work with new data sets to map transition processes adequate for programming to easily write software.
**What do you need to become a Data Migration Analyst at LEAP Dev?**
- Knowledge of ETL and field mapping (Source/target)
- Exceptional eye for detail and affinity for data
- Manual Testing experience
- Strong knowledge of MS SQL
- Strong knowledge / background legal bookkeeping / accounting (client/trust and office) and legal practice management software will be advantageous
- Knowledge of legal terminology (eg matters / unbilled fees, disbursements, safe custody)
- Have an understanding of database environments
