Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Our Mission is to deliver a comprehensive and specialised, person
- centred diabetes service that will provide multidisciplinary endocrine and diabetes self-management education in partnership with government and non-government organisations to achieve optimum health outcomes for people with diabetes and other endocrine disorders within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS).
Alongside your clinical expertise in diabetes care and management (and ADEA Credentialled status); the skills of leadership, teamwork, professional accountability, self
- motivation, innovation and acceptance of change will be required for this position.
**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being understand to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) - State 2015 - Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 7 and the Queensland Public Service values.
- Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
