- Weekdays: Shifts between 8:00 AM - 15:00 PM (as rostered)

✨ **About the Role**

We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and experienced **Medical Receptionist** to join our busy and supportive healthcare team on a **casual/part-time basis**. This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service skills who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is able to work **weekday /Weekend shifts** and be **flexible to cover**as needed.

You will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Greet patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner
- Answer phones, manage enquiries, and schedule appointments
- Maintain patient records using electronic medical systems (Best Practice,)
- Process Medicare, private billing, and bulk billing claims
- Liaise with doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and external providers
- Manage incoming/outgoing correspondence, scanning, and filing
- Ensure waiting room and front desk are clean, organised, and welcoming
- Follow confidentiality, privacy, and infection control protocols at all times

**Key Skills & Attributes**
- Previous experience in a medical reception or healthcare administration role
- Strong understanding of Medicare billing and appointment management
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Best Practice, or similar)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Friendly and professional phone manner
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Flexibility to cover shifts on short notice (e.g., staff sick leave)
- Strong commitment to patient confidentiality and care
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and Australian privacy regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

**Availability Requirements**
- Must have flexibility to work **weekday shifts between 9am-6pm**, **weekend shifts (9am-3pm)** and ability to cover **non rostered shifts** on short notice to cover **staff leave or illness**
