The role

This position is responsible for the achievement of sales through continual design and development of the Witchery Footwear range, in line with the agreed categories, range plans, brand positioning, market direction and financial expectations.

**Please note that this is a 12 month FTC**

Key responsibilities
- Design and develop product in line with the Witchery brand strategy and seasonal trends, that meets customer needs and offers constant innovation
- Work closely with Design Manager to identify key looks and trends at season commencement, specific to nominated footwear
- Attend all ranging meetings with option plans to ensure range has synergy and co-ordination
- Development and sourcing of new materials and trims in alignment with seasonal trends and customer needs and to keep newness and originality to the range that fit within targets
- Work with Design Team and Merchandise Team to identify new opportunities for growth in Footwear including promotional product, engineered programs and gifting
- Presentation of range categories range at official Buy meeting to Executive Team
- Adhere to calendar in terms of teck pack handovers, pre buy, official buy and other key deliverables
- Ongoing development of Design Assistant
- Communicate and liaise with factories, suppliers and agents in order to develop and produce required product
- Maintenance and update of core lines looking at forward trends and past history
- In conjunction with Merchandise Team follow the production lifecycle from initial design through to delivery of goods
- Ensure all samples required for VM, Marketing and PR are communicated to team and handed over on time
- Undertake overseas product sourcing trips, and/or factory and Supplier visits as required.
- Extensive footwear design experience and range building
- International knowledge and exposure to global têxtile sourcing
- A Proven understanding of offshore manufacturing
- Leadership and management skills
- Strong inter-personal skills both verbal and written
