Youth Justice Custodial Services aim to engage children and young people in change by addressing their offending behaviour and equipping them with the skills required for positive community participation.
Victoria has two custodial precincts that cater to their needs by offering innovative services aimed at reducing reoffending: Parkville Youth Justice Centre and Cherry Creek Youth Justice Facility.
**The opportunity**:
In the role of Team Manager, Aboriginal Liaison Officer at Youth Justice Victoria, you'll lead a team dedicated to supporting Aboriginal young people in custody. This pivotal position involves overseeing the delivery of culturally appropriate support and rehabilitation programs. Your leadership will ensure these young individuals receive the guidance they need for a positive reintegration into the community.
Working across Victoria's youth justice precincts, you will play a critical role in advocating for the cultural rights and needs of Aboriginal youth, while driving the effectiveness and impact of your team's efforts.
