**About Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill**

The Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill is located on the central city fringe, just minutes from the CBD, Brisbane River, Suncorp Stadium and public transport. Overlooking the city skyline and Roma St Parklands, the Hotel features 179 spacious guest rooms with generous open-aired balconies, modern amenities, an outdoor swimming pool, fitness room, and an alfresco-style restaurant and bar.

We are looking for a Handyperson who enjoys completing a variety of tasks each day. This role requires you to maintain the building, plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings. In addition, they you will protect the asset and ensure it remains a functional, pleasant and safe environment for all guests, visitors and team members.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Assist in the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the hotel.
- Complete daily plant rounds and note for repair any equipment that may appear or sound faulty.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly.
- Carry out maintenance requirements and follow up as scheduled by the hotel’s Property Management System (PMS).
- Record all maintenance tasks performed complete and incomplete including any necessary reports in reference to repairs and preventative schedules.
- Assist guests with property facilities in an informative and helpful way.
- Comply with safe work practices by following Accor Hotels WHS & Environmental policies.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 12 months demonstrated experience in general building maintenance
- Previous experience working in hotels, resorts, or hospitality settings is preferred
- Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including small hand tools
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Availability and flexibility to work varied shifts from early mornings to early evenings, including weekends and Public Holidays as per our business demands
