THE OPPORTUNITY
CSR is currently looking for a Transport Optimisation Specialist to become a key member of our team based in Yarraville for a 12-month contract with a possible extension.
The Transport Optimisation Specialist will employ transport planning tools to gauge and monitor site vehicle turnaround efficiency, pinpoint any performance limitations, devise strategies to remedy them, and enact necessary changes. They will also review other areas of CSR's transport operations to identify efficiency improvements and provide recommendations.

**About the role**:

- Monitor system master data setting and adjust as needed based on operational requirements.
- Develop suite of reports and utilise professional business analysis techniques to fully understand and define benefits versus plan.
- Analysing transportation needs, including the volume of products to be transported, the frequency of shipments, delivery locations and the profile of products moved including understanding the implication of changing transport constraints such as time-windows, loading rules and customer restrictions.
- Meet with internal stake holders on a regular basis and be a change champion by influencing system usage uptake and change management.

**About you**:

- 3+ years in a similar role with significant exposure to transport and logistics operations.
- Advanced Excel skills and hands on experience using business analytics tools such as Power BI.
- Strong transport and logistics acumen supplemented by analytical & modelling skills.
- Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to influence change.
