As a skilled and experienced **Glazier**, you will be responsible for delivering precise, high-quality sealing and glazing solutions. This includes preparing, installing, and maintaining glass structures and glazing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Key duties involve accurately measuring, cutting, installing, and sealing glass, as well as performing detailed caulking and joint sealing work to ensure airtight and watertight finishes.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Measure and mark glass for cutting using templates, straight edges, or glass-cutting tools.
- Cut and shape glass to fit specified dimensions.
- Examining glass detecting and marking defective areas.
- Install glass into windows, doors, shopfronts, skylights and other structures using putty, adhesives, rubber strips, or mechanical fasteners.
- Fit and secure glass panes into frames using sealing compounds, rubber gaskets, or caulking materials.
- Thorough understanding of common glazing techniques, such as dry glazing, wet glazing, cable netting and snap-in systems
- Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Install prefabricated glass units and double-glazed panels as required.
- Safely handle, transport, and dispose of glass materials.
- Work at heights and in various environments while adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
- Collaborate with site managers, builders, and other trades to coordinate glazing and sealing schedules.
- Inspecting completed work to ensure it is free of defects

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Certificate III in Glass and Glazing or equivalent (If available).
- Proven experience as a glazier.
- Familiarity with various sealing materials, including polyurethane, silicone, and fire-rated sealants.
- Knowledge of how to properly use tools such as grinders, glass cutters, caulk guns, finish nailers and utility knives
- Strong attention to detail with high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- White Card (Construction Induction Training).
- Willing to get IRATA certificate.
- Boom and scissor lift license.
- Valid driver’s license (preferred).

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy glass sheets.
- Comfortable working on scaffolding, ladders, or elevated platforms.
- Manual dexterity and strength for cutting and fitting materials.

**Work Conditions**:

- On-site work across construction, renovation, and maintenance projects.
- Outdoor and indoor environments, including exposure to dust, noise and weather conditions.

**Career Pathways**:
Potential to advance into roles such as Site Supervisor, Project Estimator, or Specialist Glazier like security glazing.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- Glazing: 3 years (required)
