**The Opportunity**

Nextt has an immediate opportunity for a **Support Worker / Van Driver** for our day program on a casual basis.

The role would be driving a Hyundai Imax Van from our Mt Gravatt office, pick up our clients around the Bayside suburbs for the day activity and return to Mt Gravatt in the afternoon. The shift time would range from 7:30am to 3:30pm. A full drivers (car) licence is required to drive this vehicle.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- A drivers licence and clean driving record
- A passion for supporting people to reach their goals
- Compassion for people with disability and/or mental illness
- Professional or lived experience supporting someone with a disability
- A minimum of Cert III in Mental Health/Disability/Community Services/Individual Support/Nursing or higher

**The role may involve**
- Assistance with community access and recreational activities
- Personal care
- Behavioural and Mental Health Support
- Manual handling and the use of wheelchairs & hoists
- Transportation and social engagement

**Essential Criteria**
- The legal right to work in Australia
- A 5 year demerit point report
- Clear NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check - Employee
- Valid Australian Driver licence with reliable transport
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $30.95 - $60.00 per hour
