**Key responsibilities include**:
- **Supervision and mentoring of staff**: Training, developing, mentoring and delegating tasks to food and beverage attendants, providing feedback and corrective guidance in line with shop policy to ensure optimum performance and a quality work environment for all. Working closely with owners to identify opportunities to further train, support and mentor staff. Participate in and co-facilitate staff meetings, attend innovation workshops led by owners and any required off-site training. Assist in the recruitment and development of staff.
- **Sales star**:Works with owners to set and achieve sales goals, monitors and coaches staff performance to support those goals. Excels at product offering expertise with a thorough knowledge of all menu items, ingredients and allergen information to accurately advise and connect customers with products and train staff on offerings and sales techniques. Sets the example for great communication skills and how to be a customer service superstar; able to consistently deliver high quality food service under pressure in a busy environment; effectively communicate product offerings and connect customers with products, conduct point of sale and payment handling; help customers with pre-orders over the phone, in person and online; cash handling and compliance including end of day closing of registers, administration and reporting
- **Supply Control Management**: keeping track of supplies and working with owners to order more as required, development of workflow to ensure all staff report back on supply needs, quality and wastage control, daily spot checks, on-hand product inventory management and online back-end updating
- **M & Y standards**: a thorough understanding of and ensure all adhere to safe food handling and hygiene practices, as well as the procedural standards required as outlined in our Employee Handbook
- **Ensure efficient and productive front of house operations**: ensure that the quality and presentation of food is displayed and served to the set standards; ensuring the venue is ready for service and the team are well briefed and ready for the day’s service, as well as follow opening and closing procedures properly
- **Product offering expertise**: have a thorough knowledge of all menu list items, ingredients and allergen information in order to accurately advise customers and train staff on new offerings and sales techniques
- **Store upkeep**:oversee and assist with opening and closing duties which include cleaning, restocking, inventory management. Medium level of manual handling ability for opening and closing duties required.
**About you**:
- Previous leadership / supervisory experience in retail or hospitality essential, and the positive motivational skills that come with it.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve issues that may arise efficiently and with positive outcomes
- Passionate about customer experience, hospitality and product quality.
- Ability to connect with staff and customers to ensure a high level of service is provided.
- Demonstrated capacity to multitask in fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Great time management and attention to detail
- Incredible work ethic, a positive outlook and good energy; ability to adapt and be solutions-focused
- Well presented and exceptional hygiene standards;
- Barista skills/experience (preferred, but not critical: we can provide training);
- Availability to work across a 7 day a week roster, including weekends and public holidays
