Working as a Chef in Shea's Restaurant. Helping the head chef in leading a Lively, fast paced Irish cuisine inspired Restaurant. Catering to over 200+ people some days.

Newly expanded, it has a high volume of food operation which is popular amongst the locals and overseas visitors who seek out the 'home inspired' menu.

Shea's is situated in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, Clovelly broad, Surrounded by Café's and Coffee Shops, it thrives in a quaint but busy part of Randwick with much business traction. Our chef addition must be able to keep up the pace and energy of on-going service and consistency of food standards that we have created.

Chef must hold a relevant diploma in Cookery or higher, plus at least two years' experience in a kitchen. They must have knowledge and experience of wide range of food and culinary skills, food and safety hygiene and cookery certificates.

Candidate Must Have


•     Experience in a similar kitchen environment


•     Relevant culinary qualifications


•     Great communication skills with an expanding and learning in a team of cooks and chefs.


•     Positive attitude & enjoy working within a team sharing and learning new ideas.


•     Has own knowledge and ideas to contribute to the kitchen.


•     Motivated, is punctual, has clean and tidy workspace always.


•     Attention to detail both in service and back of house. Food and stock rotation.

Responsibilities


•     Maintaining a high standard of food preparation and service always


•     Conducting and presenting themselves in a professional stance always.


•     Understanding and developing the menu sharing own ideas.


•     Oversee the daily running of the kitchen


•     Focus on Stock renewal, Food Rotation, Wastage control.


•     Monitor food quality, portion sizes and quality of service


•     Adhere to food safety regulations. Must have food Handling certificates.


•     Lead the kitchen in the daily upkeep and cleanliness of overall area.

Help Head Chef wherever needed.
