**The Location**:
Mary MacKillop Outreach (MMO) is based in Haberfield, on beautiful grounds, and provides onsite programmed group activities, community access, and in-home support for people living with disability. MMO offers an extensive portfolio of educational programs designed to encourage social inclusion, personal growth and significant life skills.

**Your new role**:
We are looking for a experienced Disability Team Leader to join the MMO team Highly rewarding role providing high-quality support, supervision, and direction to the program, staff, and volunteers. You will be working along side another dedicated team leader, leading a team of 12-20 support workers. Working within the NDIS model of community participation, engagement, and supported decision making you will utilize your skills & understanding of the needs of people with disability and make a vital impact in the day-to-day services that Mary Mackillop Outreach provides”

**Your responsibilities**:

- Coordinating all aspects of the service including rostering to ensure that the staff-to-client ratio is adequately filled on all shifts.
- Provide leadership to the service and to direct reports, creating an environment that promotes reflective practice and optimises team performance
- Provide support to people with sometimes complex disabilities in areas such as personal care, health, and well-being, accessing the local community, learning independent living skills and implementation of all supports in accordance to their funded support needs.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders in a professional manner and ensure ongoing positive relationships are formed with participants family members and carers
- Contribute to the growth in service provision, program sustainability, and oversee feedback and evaluation processes that promote consumer participation and contribute to continuous quality
- Oversee the coordination of data collection within the service, including reviewing daily, ensuring compliance with current legislative and NDIS registration requirements and organisational processes.

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:

- Minimum TAFE Certificate IV /Relevant tertiary qualification/s and/or demonstrated experience in the disability sector
- Demonstrated experience in site & staff supervision in the disability services sector.
- Experience working with challenging and diverse client groups with the ability to use sound judgement and act appropriately in crisis and emergency situations
- Demonstrated ability and confidence in the management of complex and challenging behaviours and participant situations
- High level computer literacy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple and competing work tasks and deliver to agreed
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, including cultural sensitivity and cross-culture
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Ability to travel (Drivers Licence Desirable)
- NDIS New Worker Screening and the Certificate of completion for The NDIS Worker Orientation Module, Quality, Safety & You or willingness to obtain Certificate of completion.
- It is a condition of employment that you comply with the **Society’s Pandemic Policy - COVID-19 and Public Health Orders** in order to work in or enter Society facilities, noting that all staff working in our aged care and disability services require a booster. In accordance with our policy, you will be required to provide **evidence of your vaccination status or a valid medical exemption** as part of the resourcing process
