**About the role**

The Recoveries Consultant will sit in our **Haberfield Hub** and be responsible for assessing and investigating motor insurance claims to identify opportunities for recovery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review and evaluate motor insurance claims to determine the potential for recovery.
- Engage in negotiations with other motor vehicle insurers or third-party drivers to secure settlement.
- Liaise with customers, witnesses and third-party drivers to gather evidence.
- Review evidence to determine liability and raise recoverability concerns with the Team Leader.
- Proactive maintenance of outstanding claims, managing task lists and resolving liability disputes.
- Maintain claim notes.
- Prepare recovery files for litigation.

**What You'll Bring**:

- Experience in motor vehicle insurance recoveries (minimum 2 years)
- Problem solver with a strong customer focus and proactive, empathetic nature.
- Self-motivated with an ability to stay focused when managing multiple tasks.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.
- An understanding of credit hire would be advantageous but not required.
- Comfortable with computers and learning new systems.
- Willing to learn and able to adapt to change in this evolving role.
