Housekeeping Staff Needed for Care Facility

**JJ Care Services** are a leading boutique provider of essential homecare and disability support services as well as supported living, short-term and long-term accommodation and residential respite services within our large, busy centre based in Gymea Bay. Due to rapid growth and expansion, we are urgently hiring housekeeping staff to join our team. **About the Role** Known as "Homemakers", our housekeeping staff are responsible for the full realm of cleaning, housekeeping and laundry management of our facility. Our support workers and care staff attend to some routine cleaning and domestic tasks, and our homemakers are responsible for laundry processing and the bigger tasks, including: - Interacting with the residents in a friendly, helpful, and positive manner - Perform routine cleaning tasks in resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other designated areas of the facility, taking initiative in finding areas that need extra attention - Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate department for prompt resolution. - Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to minimize the risk of infection transmission. - Follow safe work practices and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. - Collaborate with other staff members to support a clean and comfortable living environment for residents. - Attend to ordering and stock management of laundry and cleaning supplies - Restocking storage cupboards, linen, consumables, dispensers etc around the facility - Managing garbage and disposal and arranging collections as required - Light gardening and external housekeeping and presentation of the building - Managing deliveries and unpacking and distributing - Porterting duties including delivering and removing equipment, stock and other items around the building - Assisting with cooking, food service and other general household tasks as required - Assisting with pet care and keeping pet enclosures clean - Other duties as required. We operate a household model of care and as such our staff wear domestic clothing - no need for uniforms **What we're looking for** - Ability to hit the ground running and get straight into it - Experience in housekeeping or cleaning tasks to some degree, even if at home - High level of organisation and proactivity - High level of initiative and ability to change your workload to accommodate changing priorities - Ability to multitask and strong teamwork - Valid Police Check and First Aid Certificate - Drivers license and car is highly regarded This is a permanent part time role and we are flexible with hours. We are able to accommodate school hours, visa restrictions or mutual commitments. We have a team of housekeepers and are able to manage the roster between the group. **Job Type**: Part-time Pay: $22.30 - $39.38 per hour Expected hours: 8 - 24 per week Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Afternoon shift - Day shift - Morning shift - No weekends - Rotating roster Ability to commute/relocate: - Gymea, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred) Licence/Certification: - Drivers License and Car (preferred) Work Location: In person
