Job description:
- Monitor sales data, stock levels, studying trade, manufacturers and market information to keep informed of changing market conditions.
- Negotiate purchase, promotion, and supply arrangements with suppliers.
- Design and implement pricing, marketing, promotional and display strategies.
- Liaise with management on long-term planning and sales promotions.
- Establish working plans according to seasonal and budgetary requirements.
- Anticipate consumer trends and determine quantity, style, and quality of goods to be purchased.
- Consider which goods will sell and what prices customers are prepared to pay.
- Research customer demands and trends by processing store sales and inventory reports.
- Manage and analyse stock levels and order points using computers and statistics.
- Contact suppliers to replenish stocks.
- Be aware of relevant legal information such as consumer rights and store licensing.
- Communicate frequently with store management to discuss planning, budgeting, sales promotions, and advertising campaigns.
- Attend trade fairs, locally, interstate, and internationally regarding suitable products.
Qualifications/Attributes:
- Must hold a Diploma in Business or at least 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of the qualification.
- Must have at least 2 years of relevant employment experience.
- Must be data-driven, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must have strong communication skills.
Salary Range: $75,000 p.a. excluding superannuation.
Pay: $75,000.00 per year
