Our client is a highly reputable Ground Engineering Contractor with offices throughout Australia. Projects and services include some of the most exciting in the country and in the Geotechncial World today

Using some of the latest state of the art equipment and techniques, our client offer services across civil infrastructure projects including; Ground Improvement, Grouting, Deep Foundations (Bored, CFA, Driven etc.) and Earth & Water Retention.

We are currently recruiting an experienced Leading Hand to oversee a number of piling projects across Sydney including major projects such as the Sydney Metro. You may have opportunities to work across multiple projects simultaneously, looking after and leading dynamic crews.

**Responsibilities may include**:

- Assisting in the day-to-day management of projects.
- Proven experience on Diaphragm Wall Construction processes (highly desirable).
- Experience managing quality and safety requirements to ensure safe excavation.
- At least 5-7 years’ experience within the piling industry.
- Good communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- A good understanding of a construction site and need for coordination of tasks between co-workers.
- A strong commitment to safety to promote a zero-harm environment.
- Be physically fit to work and travel (a pre-employment medical will be required).
- Assisting with Programme updates and reporting.
- Providing technical support when required.
- Liaising with clients.
- Working closely with Operational project teams (on-site).
- Attending site meetings.
- Assisting with initial site set-up.
- Reading / interpretation of plans & drawings.
- Allocation & management of piling crews.

**Qualifications**:

- CFA, Bored piling & D-wall experience ideally
- Experience working directly with piling & retention systems
- Major civil infrastructure project experience
- Good understanding of drawings, plans & specifications
- Be capable of preparing QA reports
- Have to ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Management & Leadership of site teams
- Strong communication skills
- Construction industry white card
- Full Driving license
