**Role description**
Dhelkaya Health are seeking a suitable Instrument Technician, Grade 5 for a Permanent Full Time or Part Time position to work in our efficient high throughput Operating Suite CSSD. We run 2 operating theatres specialising in General Surgery & Endoscopy, Plastics, Urology, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology and Dental. Our CSSD is a small but welcoming team, looking for an applicant with flexibility in rostering 38-76 hours/fortnight.
The Grade 5 Instrument Technician performs a senior role in CSSD under the supervision and guidance of the Operating Suite Nurse Unit Manager.
Duties of the Instrument Technician, processing autoclaving and distributing sterile supplies to all internal and external customers with a high degree of autonomy and accountability. In addition, the Grade 5 Instrument Technician is required to actively assist in the supervision of staff including training, mentoring, performance management and orientation of new staff in the unit.
**About you**
- Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services (HLT47015) or equivalent qualification awarded by a registered training organisation, recognised by the Employer as such.
- Have greater than 4 years' experience (full-time equivalent) as an Instrument Technician.
