Casual Disability Support Workers

MMT Health is looking for passionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team starting as casual employees. As we grow, we will commit to offering PT and FT roles, which is also in line with the new employment legislation.

MMT Health offers disability in-home and supported accommodation/SIL support services based in The Ponds, Sydney, NSW. Our catchment area includes Blacktown, Penrith, The Hills, Paramatta, Liverpool and overall, Sydney locations. We focus on adults and young adults with intellectual disabilities, mental health and psychosocial disabilities. This includes tailored Transition supports for those wishing to live independently as an immediate or future goal.

We deliver care and support services that allows individual growth, empowerment and living a fulfilled life as defined by the individual or the individual's family.

Key responsibilities:

- household tasks-domestic assistance, such as house cleaning, shopping, laundry, or performing errands
- activities of daily living-personal care, such as help with dressing, eating, showering, toileting, or moving around the house
- assisting with transport to attend appointments
- helping individuals to develop skills - for example, making a budget, taking public transport, using assistive technology, or preparing meals
- assisting the person to participate in social outings, recreational activities and community events
- providing psychosocial supports enabling self-management conversation and emotional support

**Essential criteria**
- Cert II, III, IV or Diploma in Community Services or related area
- previous experience working with people with disability
- good understanding of person-centred care
- compliance with the NDIS Code of Conduct
- willingness to work flexible working hours including shift-work, weekends and sleep-overs
- good written, interpersonal skills and computer skills
- current unrestricted NSW driver’s license (must have as a minimum P2 licence to drive an MMT Health vehicle
- current First Aid Certificate
- current Working with Children Check and a satisfactory criminal history record check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Worker Screening Check)

**Salary**: From $28.00 per hour

Vaccination of health workers is a requirement for this role according to NSW Health orders
